Made from Merlot – 50%, Syrah – 23%, Petit Verdot – 11%, Malbec – 7.3%, Cabernet Franc – 6.3%, Cabernet Sauvignon – 1.9%. The 2005 vintage is one that most Washington winemakers agree is easily the best of the decade. Concentrated and densely packed with rich, dark fruit of blackberry and blueberry. It has a cocoa finish on a bold, muscular frame. Generous in texture and length, it should continue to improve with age for the next 4 years.
