NV Moscato Puglia IGT
Since 1928, the Botter family has been producing wines under environmentally friendly policies and with innovative production techniques and technologies. Today, the company is managed by the family's third generation and specializes in wines of the Veneto and Puglia. Puglia is a region in southeastern Italy that forms the "heel of the boot”. It is situated along bodies of water on most of its borders, including the Adriatic Sea to the East. Known as the least mountainous region in Italy, Puglia is mainly covered by broad plains and low-lying hills. It is a hot and dry climate with few rivers, but an abundance of ground water reserves formed from rain permeating the limestone soils allows for excellent viticulture. Made from 100% Puglia Moscato. Moscato or Muscat is one of oldest grape families in the world. The grapes we know today as Muscat – which are believed to have originated in the Middle East – have been used in winemaking since the times of the ancient Greeks. However, a long history brings with it an equally long list of synonyms, mutations and crossings. There is no one ‘true’ Muscat, but rather a great many incarnations, each with its own regional nuance and character. The La Fiera Moscato is a soft white wine with flavors of apricot and peach in its fruity bouquet. The palate is sweet and crisp with a hint of spritz. It's best enjoyed simply as a sipper or paired with light cuisine.
