Getting Started With Wine [~2MB PDF]
From the ebook:
“The intent of this ebook is to inform wine neophytes so that they can experience wine to the fullest. In pursuit of this goal, we cover the very basics of wine buying, serving and tasting. Hopefully, what makes this guide ebook different from the myriads of other wine books is the fact that it is brief, free and available to anyone with an internet connection.
This guide is not meant to be a full catalog of wine topics. There are plenty of other books that provide this. Instead, this ebook is meant to provide a starting point–a mere taste of what the world of wine has to offer.
In reading this, beginners should keep in mind that, although this guide contains a way to start with wine, it is not the only way. There are certainly other ways (that are in no way inferior), but the way outlined here is a common one which could be useful, and so it is presented.”
There are quite a few people who helped (directly and indirectly) with this project. In particular, I’d like to thank Peter F. May, Amy Corron Power and Tom Wark, for their suggestions regarding the first draft. In addition, I appreciate the support that many of the other wine bloggers have given, and I thank them for it.
